The Golden Eagle Mine is
located in Sections 19, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, and 32, Township 335,
Range 67W.
Wyoming Fuel Company obtained its original five year permit for this mine on
January 25, 1984, The permit was scheduled to expire on January 25, 1989
unless an application for renewal was submitted. Wyoming Fuel Company did
submit this application and the Division is proposing to renew the permit for
another five year term.
This proposed approval decision is based on a finding that the proposed
operation will comply with all requirements of the Colorado Surface Coal
Mining Reclamation Act, C.R.S. 34-33-101, et seq., and the regulations
promulgated thereunder.
The proposed decision has been published in the Trinidad Chronicle-News for
two consecutive weeks starting December 23, 1988. There is a thirty day
comment period following the first publication. If no requests for formal
hearing in accordance with Rule 2.07.4(3) are received during this period, the
Division's dec ision becomes final.
If you have any questions, please contact me.
Sincerely,
~~~~~~
Anthony J.
