As the Technical Revision was lacking in specific details for
the re-routing of the water from the North Dewatering Well to
the West Mains, please provide a more detailed engineering
design and narrative for inclusion into the permit and for
Division review. on my site visit underground on July 1,
1994, I felt confident that the proposed re-routing could
indeed be accomplished, once the seals were breached and the
engineering for the pipe/hose could be designed and
constructed.
2. Please include in your adequacy response, EFCI's intention to
re-route the water from the North Mains to the West Mains as
we discussed on July 1, 1994.
3. Include in your response, the mine inflow volumetric for the
capacity of the West Mains to absorb the additional flow from
the North Mains, which is currently being pumped out of the
mine.
4. Also include the volumetric for the current amount of water
inflow into the West Mains, a ballpark figure would be
satisfactory as the mains are experiencing caving at present
due to pillar retreat mining, and the inflow would percolate
through the gob cavities.
5. Finally, include a summary for both the West Main water
volumetric together with the North Main volume and estimate
how many years it would take to fill the West Main area from
