Public Notice <br />Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete <br />application for a technical revision to the Division of Minerals and Geology for its Roadside <br />North and South Portals, mining permit No. C-81-041. The proposed revision will extend <br />the reclamation schedule for the South Portal area. The purpose of the extension is to <br />provide Snowcap Coal Company additional time to sell the property and submit a land use <br />change application to the Division of Minerals and Geology. <br />The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the <br />Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No.46. The permit area is split east and west by the Colorado <br />River and I-70, and is encompassed within the following lands: <br />T10S, R98W., 6`" P.M.: Sections 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35 <br />T11S, R98W., 6'" P.M.: Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13, 14 <br />T11 S, R97W., 6'" P.M.: Sections 6, 7, 18 <br />T1S, R2E, Ute P.M.: Section 1 <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute <br />Cameo and Palisade Quadrangle maps. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Mesa <br />County Clerk and Recorder's office, 544 Rood, Grand Junction, CO. A copy of the approved <br />permit application document, as well as the technical revision application, are available at <br />the Denver and Grand Junction offices of the Division of Minerals and Geology [Room 215, <br />1313 Sherman St., Denver, CO 80203, (303) 866-3567; and 101 South 3`d, Suite 301, Grand <br />Junction, CO 81501, (970) 242-5025]. Written comments regarding this application may <br />be submitted to and additional information may be obtained from the Denver office of the <br />Division of Minerals and Geology.
