Public Notice Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete application for a technical revision to the Division of Minerals and Geology for its Roadside North and South Portals, mining permit No. C-81-041. The proposed revision will extend the reclamation schedule for the South Portal area. The purpose of the extension is to provide Snowcap Coal Company additional time to sell the property and submit a land use change application to the Division of Minerals and Geology. The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No.46. The permit area is split east and west by the Colorado River and I-70, and is encompassed within the following lands: T10S, R98W., 6`" P.M.: Sections 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 34, 35 T11S, R98W., 6'" P.M.: Sections 1, 2, 11, 12, 13, 14 T11 S, R97W., 6'" P.M.: Sections 6, 7, 18 T1S, R2E, Ute P.M.: Section 1 The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Cameo and Palisade Quadrangle maps. A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder's office, 544 Rood, Grand Junction, CO.
