=~ • •
Taarree mi~i~e sac.
August 31, 1988
CERTIFIED P764980341
Mr. Gregg Squire
Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division
215 Centennial Building
1313 Sherman Street
Denver. CO 80203
Dear Gregg:
Subject: Minor Revision MR-78. Relocation of the Employee
Coal Stockpile at Trapper Mine.
Beginning in September 1988, Trapper Mine will be relocating the Employee Coal
Stockpile that is located on the Colt pit haul road. Due to the activation of
Colt pit, safety considerations call for the relocation of this small stockpile.
The stockpile will be moved to the Johnson Gulch drainage on recontoured spoil, a
safe location for the employees. Revised permit page 3-184 and Map M13B, sheet 2
of 4, reflect the new location of the stockpile. Drainage from the stockpile is
controlled by the sedimentation control structures in Johnson Gulch. Addition-
ally, no bond change is required since the stockpile is relocated on an area pre-
viously disturbed by mining activities and covered under Trapper's current bond.
During the process of updating Map M13B, sheet 2 of 4, it was noted that the long
term ash disposal site in North A pit was not shown on the map. As a result,
this disposal area has been added to the map.
Thanks for your cooperation concerning this revision. Please contact me if you
need further information to process this request.
Sincerely,
/`~'"
H. Bruce Humphries
Sr. Env.
