CO 80401 <br />Re: Southfield Mine (Permit No. C-81-014) <br />Technical Revision No. 18 (Stipulation No. 21 - Revised Angle of Draw) <br />Dear State Supervisor: <br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on <br />June 16, 1994, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal <br />mining operations by Energy Fuels Coal, Inc., P.O. Box 449, Florence, <br />Colorado 81226, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All reviews <br />and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated <br />thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations at the <br />Southfield Mine. The technical revision addresses an incidental permit <br />boundary change in response to concerns identified by the Division during <br />permit renewal. <br />The Southfield Mine area is located approximately seven miles south of <br />Florence, Colorado, and the loadout area is located approximately one mile <br />west of Florence, in the following sections: <br />Southfield Mine Area: <br />Township 20 South, Range 69 West <br />Sections 19, 30, and 31 <br />Township 20 South, Range 70 West <br />Sections 23, 24, 25, and 26 <br />Southfield Loadout Area: <br />Township 19 South, Range 69 West <br />Sections 17 and 18 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />maps cf Rockvale and Canon City. <br />I~~I~ <br />DEPARTMENT OF <br />NATURAL <br />RESOURCES <br />Rn~ Kome~ <br />Gu.rmu~ <br />I,n„~. s.
