CO 80401 Re: Southfield Mine (Permit No. C-81-014) Technical Revision No. 18 (Stipulation No. 21 - Revised Angle of Draw) Dear State Supervisor: Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on June 16, 1994, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal mining operations by Energy Fuels Coal, Inc., P.O. Box 449, Florence, Colorado 81226, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing. The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations at the Southfield Mine. The technical revision addresses an incidental permit boundary change in response to concerns identified by the Division during permit renewal. The Southfield Mine area is located approximately seven miles south of Florence, Colorado, and the loadout area is located approximately one mile west of Florence, in the following sections: Southfield Mine Area: Township 20 South, Range 69 West Sections 19, 30, and 31 Township 20 South, Range 70 West Sections 23, 24, 25, and 26 Southfield Loadout Area: Township 19 South, Range 69 West Sections 17 and 18 The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps cf Rockvale and Canon City.
