Notice of Proposed Decision <br />Correction <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology has issued a proposed decision to approve Bond Release <br />Application No. 2 (SL-2) for the Edna Strip Mine, Permit No. C-80-OOI. The mine is operated by The <br />Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Co. under the provisions of the Colorado Surface Coal Mining <br />Reclamation Act of 1979. The bond release application was submitted by The Pittsburg & Midway Coal <br />Mining Co. on June 19, 1996. The affected area is located in is located in Routt County, approximately <br />5 miles northwest of Oak Creek, Colorado. <br />This notice is published to correct the original which contained an erroneous dollar total for the bond <br />release. The Division is proposing to release $821,613.00 of the bond which covered reclamation liability <br />for backfilling and grading portions of the West Ridge and Center Ridge areas of the mine. <br />Copies of the proposed decision are available for review at the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology <br />office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 2I5, Denver, Colorado 80203, and at the office of the Routt County <br />Clerk and Recorder. <br />Any person who has an interest which is or may be adversely affected may request an adjudicatory hearing <br />regazding this proposed decision. Requests for a hearing must be made in writing within thirty (30) days <br />of the First publication of this notice, and shall state with reasonable specificity the reasons for the request <br />and objections to the proposed decision. <br />
