c <br />CCMC N0. 1 <br />RECLAMATION BOND REVIEW <br />V. BOND <br />The following pertains to the reclamation bond for Colorado Coal Mine <br />No. 1. The current reclamation bond is set at $346,000. The <br />American Casualty Company presently holds a surety bond for $226,000. <br />The bond document does reflect the information requested under Rule <br />3.02.4(2)(b)(v)(ASB). <br />The remaining $120,000 is held as certificates of deposits (numbers <br />1062 and 1063). These certificate of deposits are held with the <br />Western National Bank. Enclosed are revisions to the bond to satisfy <br />Rule 3.02.4(2)(d)(vi)(Ad,B). <br />BOND CALCULATIONS - TEST PIT <br />C <br />1. Baekfilliha Costs <br />Amount of material to backfill - 306,400 BCY <br />Assume 25 percent swell - 383,000 LCY <br />Sinee the backfill material is loose and unconsolidated, two 631-D <br />scrapers can be used to haul overburden. <br />Haulage criteria <br />Average haul distance - 1,000 feet <br />Estimated rolling resistance - 5$ <br />Uphill grade - -5$ <br />Doxnhill grade - 5$ <br />Total Cvele Time <br />Loading time - .8 minutes <br />Travel time (full) - .6 minutes <br />Dump time - .7 minutes <br />Return time (empty) - ~ minutes <br />3.0 minutes <br />Number of passes per hour = 60 minutes/hour = 20 passes/op hour <br />3.0 minutes/pass <br /> <br />Two 613-D scrapers x111 be sufficient to haul Overburden material. A <br />Cat D8-L will be added to aid in reclamation, and building roads for <br />scrapers. <br />Total overburden production/scrapper = 520 BCY/operated hour <br />(see page 283, CAT <br />Handbook Edition 16) <br />~~/~~ <br />
