This cost estimate replaces the estimate prepared and submitted
in March of 2004. Our comprehensive review of that cost estimate revealed a number of
inaccuracies and reclamation tasks that are not required by the approved reclamation
plan. This new estimate corrects those earlier inaccuracies and represents those tasks
remaining. A cost estimate summary sheet is appended that compares the results of ow
2005 cost estimate and the March 2004 cost estimate. The comments section of the table
identifies where significant changes occurred. The methodology employed in the
estimate is the same as that utilized by the Division in preparing cost estimates. Our final
cost estimate of liability for completing approved reclamation at the Carbon Junction
Mine is $193,679.91.
