surface workings and features of the demised premises. <br />In the event said maps oc blueprints are not so fur- <br />nished, C&U may at its option have surveys and maps <br />made of American Fuels' workings in the demised prem- <br />ises and American Fuels agrees to reimburse C&U for all <br />expense in connection therewith. American Fuels <br />further agrees to give to C6U copies of all Federal and <br />State inspection reports pertaining to its operations <br />on the premises herein demised. <br />10. CONFORMANCE TO LAWS <br />a) American Fuels agrees to abide by and conform to <br />the laws of the State of Colorado and of the United <br />States, and any valid rules or regulations of any <br />legally constituted body having jurisdiction over <br />the demised premises whether now in force or here- <br />inafter enacted pertaining to the operations of <br />coal mines or in any way affecting this lease. <br />b) American Fuels further agrees to furnish to C&U, <br />before starting the mining of coal under this <br />lease, satisfactory evidence that said American <br />Fuels has been granted the necessary license or <br />licenses, required under the mining laws of the <br />State of Colorado or of any other competent juris- <br />diction and thereafter to furnish on or before the <br />first day of each calendar year and subsequently <br />when necessary, to CSU, satisfactory proof that <br />such license or licenses have been issued. <br />c) American Fuels further agrees to make, during the <br />life of this Agreement, to the State of Colorado, <br />such necessary reports of and payments on the coal <br />mined from the demised premises as are now required <br />or may hereafter be required under the mining laws <br />of the State of Colorado and to save harmless C&U <br />from any and all liability by virtue of the failure <br />of American Fuels to do so. <br />-10- <br />
