<br />The lease modification area is located in Lots 11, 12, 13, and 20 of Section 1, T13S, R90W; the right-of-way
<br />parcel is located in Lot 1 of Section ]2, T13S, R90W.
<br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Bowie and Somerset.
<br />Because the above referenced permit revision application would incorporate additional lands into the permit area
<br />or might otherwise alter previously approved permit conditions or mitigation measures, we are requesting your
<br />agency's evaluation of the potential for impacts to cultural and historic resources.
<br />[n order for us to approve this revision, we are required to make a finding that "the proposed operations will
<br />not adversely affect any publicly owned park or place listed on or [hose places eligible for listing, as determined
<br />by the SHPO, on the National Register of Historic Places, unless approved jointly by the Board and the Federal,
<br />State, or local agency with jurisdiction over the park or place." We request your evaluation and concurrence
<br />in order to make this finding, pursuant to the May 1991 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between our
<br />agencies. Please refer to the MOU when undertaking your review.
<br />Please advise us if you require additional information. In order for us to comply with regulatory time frames,
<br />we request that comments be submitted to Tony Waldron, Division of Minerals and Geology, at the above
<br />address by 5:00 p.m. on July 17, 1996. If no comments are received by this date, we will proceed on the
<br />assumption that your agency has no concerns with or objections to the applicant's proposal.
<br />A copy of the revision application is available for public inspection at the Delta County Courthouse, 501 Palmer
<br />Street, Delta, Colorado 81416, and at [he Division office. For additional information, to provide written
