The Operator will protect its facilities from rockfall by constructing three berms <br />where shown on Map 15 and in accordance with the design presented in Volume <br />VII, Tab 11. The following information is provided for the construction of the <br />berms. <br />a. Disturbed Area The new disturbed area is 1.8 acres. There will be 0.6 <br />acres of previously disturbed area that will re-disturbed. The total area to <br />be disturbed or re-disturbed is 2.4 acres. <br />b. Run-Off Of the 2.4 acres of disturbance 2.2 acres report to Pond C. Of <br />the 2.2 acres, 1.6 acres are new disturbance and 0.6 acres disturb <br />previously disturbed areas. The addition run-off generated by the Pond C <br />disturbance is 0.14 acre feet. According to Map 22-C, Pond C has an <br />excess capacity of 0.11 acre-feet. The additional run-off generated by this <br />change does not significantly affect run-off to Pond C. Pond B has plenty <br />of excess capacity. <br />c. To soil Approximately 5,000 cubic yards of topsoil will be salvaged and <br />hauled to topsoil stockpile A. <br />d. Reclamation Estimate The estimated reclamation cost for the rock <br />catchments is $23,932.
