CO 80203 <br />Re: Foidel Creek Mine (Permit No. C-82-056) <br />Technical Revision No. 23 (Incidental Permit Boundary Change) <br />Dear Mr. Davis: <br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 33, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, the <br />Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on October 10, <br />1995, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal mining <br />operations by Twentymile Coal Company, 29515 Routt County Road No. 27, <br />Oak Creek, Colorado 80467, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. <br />All reviews and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations <br />promulgated thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to revise underground coal mining operations at the <br />Foidel Creek Mine. The technical revision addresses an incidental permit <br />boundary change to allow for mining of the 10 Right Gateroad extensions, and <br />installation of ventilation and dewatering facilities. Mining will be <br />conducted by using underground methods. Three entries and associated cross- <br />cuts will be driven in the extension area, resulting in less than 20 <br />additional acres to mining. <br />The Foidel Creek Mine is located approximately 23 miles southwest of <br />Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The general area affected by this revision is <br />described as follows: <br />Township 5 North. Range 86 West of the 6th P.M <br />Section 13: W/2 SW/4, SW/4 NW/4, E/2 NW/4, W/2 NE/4 <br />Section 14: SE/4, S/2 SW/4, NE/4 SW/4 <br />Section 15: SE/4 SE/4 <br />Section 21: S/2 NW/4, SW/4 NE/4, S/2 SE/4, SE/4 NW/4 <br />Section 2Z: SW/4 NE/4, N/2 NW/4, N/2 NE/4 <br />Section 23: N/2 NW/4 <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />maps of Rattlesnake Butte and Cow Creek. <br />I~~~ <br />DEPARTMENT OF <br />NATURAL <br />RESOURCES <br />Roy Romer <br />Governor <br />lames 5.
