The Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 1 l6, Paragraph 4,
of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on Mazch 25, 2005, an application to revise coal mining operations at the Trapper Mine
was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Trapper Mining Inc.. All review and
comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing.
Trapper Mining, Inc. has submitted the 2004 Annual Reclamation Report as required by Rule 2.04.13. TMI submits this annual
report as a revision to Appendix W of the permit.
The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 6 miles south of Craig, Colorado. The permit azea is further
described as follows:
Portions of Sections 1, 2, and 3, Township 5 North, Range 91 West ofthe 6th P.M.
Portions of Sections 30 and 31, Township 6th North, Range 90 West of the 6th P.M.
Portions of Sections 25, 2b, 28, 33, 34, 35, and 36, Township 6 North, Range 91 West of the 6th P.M.
The above-mentioned tracts of land aze shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Castor Gulch.
The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the time of
publicafion of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Moffat County
Courthouse, 221 W Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625, and at the Division office. For additional information or to provide
written comments, contact the Division of Minerals and Geology, Room 215, 1313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado 80203,
[phone]. In order for us to comply with regulatory time frames, we request that comments be submitted within fifteen
(15) days of this letter. If no comments aze received by then, we will proceed on the assumption that you have no concerns
with, or objections to, the applicant's proposal.
