Box 1218 <br />Steamboat Springs, CO 80477 <br />Dear Sir/Madame: <br />As required in Section 3.02.2(1) of the Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Boazd for Coal Mining, The Pittsburg & Midway Coal Mining Co. (P&M), hereby serves notice <br />of its intention to apply for partial release of a Self-Bond (performance bond) held on reclaimed <br />acreage at the Edna Mine. <br />P&M seeks release of$663,590.00 from the performance bond for areas with reclamation <br />liability covered under Permit C-80-001. Permit C-80-001 was originally issued November 16, <br />1981. The release is for final bond release of the Upper Shop Facility at the mine. Complete <br />reclamation of the azea has been performed in accordance with the designated commercial <br />postmining land use. <br />The Edna Mine is located northwest of Oak Creek in Routt County, Colorado. The areas <br />affected by this request aze located west of the 6'" PM and are contained in section l9, T4N, <br />R85 W. The area encompasses approximately 13.5 acres. <br />Any written comments, objections and/or requests for a public hearing or informal conference <br />regazding P&M's request should be submitted to the Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, <br />1313 Sherman St., Room Z15, Denver, Colorado, 80203. <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />Brian D.
