The 2 years of vegetation
studies already submitted with the original bond release application have shown
that the 6.24 acre area has met all vegetation standards, which are basically
represented by the N#1 west side subtotals in the vegetation report. A sediment
comparison (pre-mine to post-mine) was addressed in 1994 for the area that did
meet the vegetative criteria for Phase 2. See enclosed letter from Barb Pavlick
to Joe Wilcox of OSM dated April 18, 1997. The original Phase 3 application
contained sediment loss comparisons for three typical cross-sections found on
the Meeker Mines sites. An additional sediment loss comparison for. the specific
area which was excluded from the Phase 2 request is. included on the following
pages. This data uses slopes and vegetation data specific to this area. This
material should be added to the original Phase 3 bond release document.
A map is also enclosed outlining the 6.24 acre area for the. Phase 2 bond
release demonstration.
Call if there any questions.
Sincerely yours,~`~~~~
~.
Greg Lewicki
Greg Lewicki and Associates
