The mitigation area is located <br />within Section 23, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Mesa County, <br />Colorado. <br />The Watson Island mitigation plan will successfully offset <br />impacts to waters of the United States associated with mine <br />expansion at the Sandborn Creek Mine (Permit No. C-81-022) with <br />the following special conditions: <br />1. Corps approval of the seed mixture prior to being used in <br />revegetation of the restoration area. <br />2. Any materials that can be safely handled, such as tires, <br />without special precautions will be removed from Watson Island <br />for disposal by the appropriate entities. <br />3. The mitigation work must be completed by January 1, 1998. <br />You must notify this office in writing within 30 days of <br />completion of the mitigation measures. Upon notification we will <br />schedule a date four a compliance inspection cf the mitiga*_ion <br />site.
