Public Notice <br />Central Appalachia Mining, LLC, P.O. Box 98, Loma, CO, 81524, has submitted a complete <br />application for a technical revision to the Division of Minerals and Geology for its McClane <br />Canyon Mine, mining permit No. C-80-004. The proposed revision has two components both <br />shown on Figure 2.2-3, 1) Re-connect upper McClane Creek to it's original lower portion by <br />installing a 48" culvert at the haul road, and 2) Revise the drainage control plan, abandoning <br />an 18" collector culvert and re-directing flow to the sediment pond. <br />The McClane Canyon Mine is located approximately 19 miles north of Loma, CO along State <br />Highway 139. East Salt Creek is immediatelywestof the permit boundary. The permit area <br />is encompassed within the following lands: <br />Township 7 South. Rance 102 West, 6'" P.M. <br />Section 15: <br />Section 16: <br />Section 21: <br />Section 22: <br />Section 27: <br />Section 28: <br />All <br />E''/z <br />E%z, E%zW%z, SW'/<NWY<, NW'/.SWY+ <br />All <br />N%z <br />NW'/+NEY,, NE'/,NWY. <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute <br />Howard Canyon and Garvey Canyon Quadrangle maps. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is available for public inspection at the Mesa <br />County Clerk and Recorder's office, 544 Rood, Grand Junction, CO. A copy of the approved <br />permit application document, as well as the technical revision application, are available at <br />the Denver and Grand Junction offices of the Division of Minerals and Geology [Room 215, <br />1313 Sherman St., Denver, CO 80203, (303) 866-3567; and 101 South 3'", Suite 301, Grand <br />Junction, CO 81501, (970) 242-5025].
