PROPOSED PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Notice is hereby given of the filing of a Permit Revision to the existing Colowyo Coal Mine, Permit C- <br />81-019, by Colowyo Coal Company, L.P., 5731 State Highway 13, Meeker, Colorado 81641, with the <br />Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology (CDMG), Colorado Department of Natural Resources, 1313 <br />Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203. The request for a Permit Revision is to provide for <br />the mining and reclamation of additional areas contained to the south and west of the previously approved <br />permit boundary. The additional areas more specifically include all or portions of Township 4 North <br />Range 93 West of the 6's P.M. Sections 15, 16, 21, 22, 28, 32, and 33 and Township 3 North Range 93 <br />West of the 6`s-P.M. Sections 5, 7, 8, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 28, 29, and 30. <br />All of the lands to be affected by this Permit Revision are owned or leased by Colowyo Coal Company, <br />are located approximately 28 miles south of Craig, Colorado, are west of Colorado Highway 13/789, are <br />in Moffat and Rio Blanco counties, Colorado, and are located on U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute <br />quadrangle Map Nos. N4015-W 10745/7.5 (Axial, Colorado) and N4007.5-W 10745/7.5 (Ninemile Gap, <br />Colorado). The permit revision area expansion shall include 6,050.1 acres. The South Taylor mining <br />azea within the permit revision will include a total disturbed area of up to 905.0 acres and a total affected <br />area of 914.2 acres. Colowyo obtained the rights to legally enter land administered by the Bureau of Land <br />Management when necessary to gain access to this Permit Revision Area. <br />A copy of the application for the Permit Revision is on file at the Moffat County Clerk and Recorder's <br />Office in the Moffat County Courthouse in Craig, Colorado. A copy of the application is also on file at <br />the Rio Blanco County Clerk and Recorder's Office in the Rio Blanco County Courthouse in Meeker, <br />Colorado. <br />~• Comments concerning this Permit Revision should be addressed to the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology, Colorado Department of Natural Resources, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, <br />Colorado 80203 no later than 30 days from the date of this publication. <br />• <br />
