Twenrymile Coal Company submitted a revised E.~chibit 8 on l 1/19/99. The Division did not receive a table of contents page for E,~dribit 8. The request for a Table of Contents for Exhibit 8 remains unresolved. 62. As a result of issues raised during the midterm review, TCC submitted various information concerning sediment pond design and the as-built configuration ojthese ponds. This information was reviewed to determine whether the requirements ojRule 2.O.i.3(=1) are adequately addressed for each sediment pond. Generally, each pond now has a statement ojcertification that references particular design information, whether it is original design information or informa[ion based on a survey of the structure done by a registered land surveyor. A number ojisscres were ident~ed based after review. 62. a) ,Ylarry of the surveys are not certified by the surveyor. Information gathered by Mr. Peter Epp for Pond D, Fish Creek Loadout (tipple) pond, Pond B, Pond G, Fish Creek Borehole Ponds needs to be signed and dated by the surveyor. 12/6/99 materials The pond Dotage/storage diagram is legible and was signed and certified by the surveyor. The Division requires professional engineer certifcations. It still needs a label as to where it is to be filed in the permit. The principal spillway elevation shown on the does not agree with the calculations submitted May 17, 1999. Please correct this discrepancy. The pond G and pond Bstage/storage diagrams aze legible and were signed and certified by the surveyor. They both need a label as to where they aze to be filed in the permit. Assuntirtg the Division has received adequate design information, please assure that as-built certifications reflect all new and existing design information, including reference to its location in the permit. No information was submitted for the Fish Creek Tipple (pond E). This item remains outstanding. The Fish Creek Borehole treatment ponds have an adequate as-built certification as found in Exhibit 8K. Map 32 was revised appropriately during Minor Revision 166. 62. b) Plate 1, titled Sedimentation Ponds, Energy Mines No.l and No. 2 and Eckman Park needs to be properly labeled to indicate it is part of the Twenrymile permit # C-82-056 and to which exhibit it belongs. If only one copy of this plate is to be used for all ponds, it should be properly referenced by the as-built cert~cativn for each pond to which it applies, as jar as where it (the plate) can be found in the permit.
