i9$i-oio <br />~~~ ~~ ~ <br />~~~~~ <br />~U~(o/OJ <br />CRASC DAILY PRESS <br />1107244 ---- <br />NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION <br />The Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology proposes to Approve Technical <br />Revision Application No. 94 (TR-94) for the <br />Trapper Mine (Permit No. C-1981-010), sutr <br />milled by Trapper Mining Inc. The operator <br />proposed toleavetwenty-five ponds as per- <br />manent structures. These ponds would pro- <br />vide water far livestock and wiltllife and <br />would suDpod the post-mining land-use of <br />Rargeland. The following ponds are Dro- <br />posed for retention: No Name 2, 4, and 5, <br />Joh~on 6, lR, SR, 9R, and 50R, Wesl <br />Pyeatt 1 and 2, East Pyead 1, 2, and 3, <br />Grouse 5 and 2, Oak 7 and 2; West Flume <br />1, Middle Flume 1, East Middle Flume 1, <br />East Flume 1, Deer 1, Ute 1, Horse Gulch 5. <br />The Trapper Mine is a sudace coal mine <br />located in Moffat County, approximately 6 <br />miles southwest of Craig, Colorado. Coal <br />interest is Federal, state and private, and the <br />sudace affected is State and private land. <br />The permit area encompasses approximate- <br />IY 10,382.30 acres. <br />This proposed decision is based on a finding <br />That the proposed operafion will comply with <br />all requirements of the Colorado Sudace <br />Coal Mining Reclamation Act, Section 34- <br />33-101, et seq., C.R.S., and the regulations <br />promulgated thereunder. <br />Copes of Ne proposed decision, including <br />stipulations, are on file for public inspection <br />at the Colorado Division of Minerals and <br />Geology, Room 215, Centennial Building, <br />5313 Sherman Street, Denver, Colorado <br />80203. Persons with an interest that may be <br />adversely affected by Ne proposed derision <br />may request a formal hearing before the <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board on the pro- <br />posed decision.
