CN values of 85 over Carracas Loam is developed in Paragraph 2.7 for the Exhibit 5
reference.
A CN of 89 is used for the dirt road area (located on Carracas Loam, a soil with a
hydrologic soil profile of "D", reference Table 5.3 of the SEDCAD+3 documentation).
6.5.2 Reclaimed State
Top Slope 1990 (seeded) Vegetation Survey (1996) information was used to determine a CN
value of 84 for hill-top subwatersheds (]-1-1-1, 2-1-1-1, 3-1-1-1, and 3-2-2-1). A CN of 85
was determined from the East Slope 1996 Vegetation Survey information for the steep east
slopes (subwatersheds 1-1-1-2, 2-1-1-2, 3-1-1-2, 3-2-3-1 and 3-2-3-2). A CN of 86 was
determined for that portion of the watershed included in the South Slope Areas of the 1996
Vegetation Survey (subwatersheds 3-2-1-1, 3-2-1-3, 3-2-2-2, 3-2-2-3, and 3-2-2-5). A CN of
89 was used for dirt road areas (Table 5.3, SEDCAD+ documentation, for dirt roads over
hydrologic soil group D soils, Carracas Loam).
6.6 Hydrograph Response Shape
See Paragraph 2.~.
6.7 Soil Erodibility Factor (K)
See Paragraph 2.3. The K factor for Carracas Loam is 0.20.
6.8 Control Practice Factor (CP)
6.8.1 Pre-mining State
A CP value of 0.031 is developed in Paragraph 2.8 for the Rangeland Reference Area (1996
Vegetation Survey).
A CP value of 0.182 is developed in Paragraph 2.8 for the Exhibit 5 reference.
A CP of 1.2 is used for the compacted din road.
6.8.2 Reclaimed State
A CP of 1.2 is used for the dirt road.
A CP of 0.046 is developed for those subwatersheds on the top of the hill in the following
table.
Page 22 of 34, 7 Oct 96
