Long <br />Divi>ion DirPClor <br />The Division of Minerals and Geology (Division) hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on March 5, 2001, an application to renew an <br />existing permit to conduct coal mining operations at the Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine was considered complete for the <br />purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in [he Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act <br />and the Rules initiate from this date of filing. <br />NCIG Financial, Inc. proposes to continue underground coal mine reclamation operations on land located <br />approximately 7 miles West of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br />T65, R91 W; Portions of Sections 1 and 12 <br />T65, R90W,-Portions of Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, ] 5 and ] 6 <br />Theabove-mentioned tracts of land aze shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle maps of Storm King Mountain <br />and New Castle. <br />Approval of [he application would extend [he permit for reclamation activities [o October 9, 2006. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection a[ the Division office (address below). A copy <br />of the renewal application will be available for public inspection, upon publication of a public notice of the <br />renewal application in the Clemrood Post, at the Ga~eld County Courthouse, 109 8th St Ste 200, Glenwood <br />Springs, CO 81601.
