BANTA, Director <br />October 31, 1989 <br />Garfield County Commissioners <br />109 8th Street, Suite 200 <br />Glenwood Springs, CO 81602 <br />Re: Coal Ridge No. 1 Coal Mine Permit Renewal - Permit No. C-84-065 <br />Dear Commissioners: <br />Pursuant to Rule 2.07.4(3)(d) of the regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, you are hereby notified that the right to <br />renew a valid, existing coal reclamation permit was issued to New Castle <br />Energy Co. on October 19, 1985 for the Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine. <br />The underground mining operation is located approximately 1.5 miles east of <br />New Castle, Colorado from 5,800 feet MSL to 8,200 MSL. <br />The three-year Permit Area consists of the following areas located in Garfield <br />County, Colorado: <br />A). Township 6S, Range 91 W, Section l: those lands in the NE/4 yet <br />south of County Road 335, and the SE/4; <br />B). Township 6S, Range 90W, Section 6 <br />Road 335; <br />C). Township 6S, Range 904J, Section 5 <br />D). Township 6S, Range 90W, Section 8: <br /> NE/4 SW/4; <br />E). Township 6S, Range 90W, Section 9: <br /> and S/2; <br />F). Township 6S, Range 90W, Section 10: <br /> NW/4 and S/2; <br />G). Township 6S, Range 90W, Section 7: <br />H).
