Pursuant to Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land
Reclamation Board, you are hereby notified that a proposed decision to renew a valid, existing
coal mining and reclamation permit was issued to Peabody Coal Company for the Seneca II
Mine.
The surface mining operation is located approximately five miles southeast of Hayden, Colorado.
