Halllrwin Constructionnepany
La Poudre Pit Permit Technical Revision Permit No. M-83-090
Technical Revision
The following revisions to Hall Irwin Construction Company's La Poudre Pit Permit No.
M-83-090 are requested: 1) include a riprap spillway between the two eastemmost ponds,
and 2) add a weed management plan.
Damage caused by Spring flooding made it apparent that a spillway is necessary between
the two eastemmost ponds. Damage to [he berm comiec[ing the ponds exposed a buried
gas pipeline owned by Sinclair Pipeline Company. The spillway is necessary to protect
both the pipeline and the berm from further damage in the future. A design report for the
spillway is provided.
In response to the DMG's request for a weed management plan, equipment and personnel
are in place. Mechanical means, including mowing and disking, will be used as the first
measure of attack, after which herbicides will be used to control noxious weeds where
necessary. Hall Irwin has committed to implementing this weed management plan.
RE~EI~/~.,,.
N~V ~ ,
a~~~~ X999
4
November, 1999
