NOTICE OF PROPOSED DECISION
The Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology has approved with conditions an
application for a revision (PR-02) to the existing permit to conduct coal
mining and reclamation operations submitted by Twentymile Coal Company for the
Foidel Creek Mine.
The Fo1de1 Creek Mine operation is located in in Routt County, approximately
23 miles southwest of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The mine is an underground
mine with an anticipated maximum production capacity of approximately
2.2 million tons per year. The coal to be mined is federally and privately
owned, and the surface to be affected is federally and privately owned. The
revised permit area encompasses approximately 14,812 acres in:
