Permanent Man-Made Structures Exhibit S
No structures will be damaged off-site. This will be acomplished by maintaining proper
setbacks and buffers between the river and permit boundary. The slope will be kept
mild(3H:1 V) neaz the permit boundary to minimize the risk of slope instability. The 100'
buffer between the ponds and the river will minimize the risk of river deviation due to pit
capture. The following is an inventory of man-made structures within 200 feet of the permit
area. All of these structures are shown on Maps C-1, C-2, F. The landowner boundaries are
shown on Map C-1.
Owner: Casey Concrete
Structure Description
Casey Concrete Facilities Includes shop, scales, and concrete plant.
Owner: CDOT
Structure Description
I-70 ]ncludes ROW Fence, and culverts, which pass under
the Interstate.
Owner: City of Rifle
Structure Description
City of Rifle Intake Pond The intake structures lies more than 200 feet from the
permit boundary. However [he intake pond lies within
this envelope. Through the implimentation of 100'
buffers between the pit and the river the risk of pit
capture will be greatly lessened.
Owner: LaFarge
Structure Description
Lafarge's Mamm Creek Pit Mamm Creek Pit lies directly to the east of the
proposed expansion.
Owner: Landowner
Structure
Fence along northern edge
of orginal Chambers pit
Fence along border of Scott
Expansion
Description
4/26/04 S- 2
