TRAPPER MINING INC. <br />SAND AND GRAVEL SITE <br />• Exhibit H - Wildlife Information <br />1.0 Wildlife ,;_ <br />A review of wildlife issues relating to the proposed sand and gravel <br />operation has been completed by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DDW) <br />and Trapper Mining Inc. An assessment of potential impacts and suggested <br />mitigation is presented in Exhibit H, Attachment 1. <br />During mining and reclamation eaution will be taken to insure the safety <br />and protection of wildlife. The site will be monitored to accomplish this <br />objective. Further, according to the DOW assessment, "minimal impact to <br />important wildlife species" is expected for the proposed activities. <br />Specifically, Trapper Mining Inc. will reestablish any cottonwood trees <br />adjacent to the northwest permit boundary or within the permit area which <br />may die due to mining and reclamation activities. In addition, selection <br />of perennial plant species for reestablishment will be those most likely <br />to provide cover and quality forage to both game and non-game species <br />Table E-1.
