Cattany <br />Division DIreCIOr <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />On September 15, 2003 the Division of Minerals and Geology approved the Amendment application submitted to <br />the Division on Mazch 24, 2003, addressing the following: <br />Amendment allows mining of additional land, especially into drainageways on south side. Conventional <br />excavation in series of stages beginning on highwall and ending on future pit floor; stormwater retention <br />pond in SW corner, onsite crushing and stockpiling. Reclamation will include any of several surface <br />roughening/erosion control treatments, which are detailed in `BLM Free Use Permit" stipulations. <br />Maximum slope 2 horizontal:l vertical. Topsoil will be salvaged onsite, and augmented by importing <br />offsite topsoil. Noxious weeds well be monitored and controlled. <br />The terms of the Amendment No. 1 approved by the Division aze hereby incorporated into Permit No. M-1978- <br />268.
