Following
are Somerset's responses to those comments:
la. Drawing E8-3253 was revised to show the hoist building at the
lower Hubbard Creek facilities as a small area exemption.
This area was given the designation of SAE-11.
lb. The Upper Hubbard Creek topsoil stockpile was modeled using
the computer program Sedcad+ Version 3. The model used a
grass filter to slow the velocity of the water to allow
sediment deposition. The results of the modeling are
presented on page B-142 and 8-149 through B-153.
lc. The Bear Creek facilities lower portal area was modeled using
the computer program Sedcad+ Version 3. The model used a
grass filter to slow the velocity of the water to allow
sediment deposition. The results of the modeling are
presented on page B-143 and B-154 through B-158.
ld. The old track scales area (more recently a parking area)
directly north an northeast of Pond B will be graded to drain
into Pond B. Drawings 5-034 and 5-035 were revised to show
the inclusion of this additional area into Drainage Area B-6.
This included area is small enough so that the calculated area
for Drainage Area B-6 remains the same (1.4 acres).
The area to the east of this regraded area is considered to be
pre-law. This area was a rail grade which provided rail
access to the tipple prior to the construction of the silo.
