Pages V-18 and V-18A aze enclosed addressing the backfilling of the return shafts and
placement of excess fill material taken from the recontouring of the intersection. In
addition coal refuse is specifically identified as a suitable fill material for plugging shafts
above 50 feet from the bottom of the coalbed per 30 CFR § 75.1711-1.
MR 127
Blue Mountain Energy has experienced several leaks in our main raw waterline during the
.past several years. MR 127 proposes a replacement for one section of this line. This
section follows a new corridor paralleling County Road 65. The proposed waterline would
be constructed outside of the road right-of--way. The proposed route along with a 50 foot
construction corridor is shown on Map 22. Map 147 is also enclosed showing the new
water line corridor as well as the changes associated with MR 126.
Disturbance along this corridor will be limited to that needed for pipe burial and will be
reclaimed and reseeded this year.
If you have any further questions please contact me at 970-675-4322.
Sincerely,
Scott Wanstedt
Environmental Engineer
scottl wCa~deserado.com
enc:
cc: Jeff DubbeR w/o
Max McCoy - BLM
