iiiiiiiiiiii-ii-ii
Oakridge Energy, Inc., a Utah Corporation, has filed with the Office of the Division o1
Minerals and Geology, an application for a Technical Revision to the Carbon Junction
Mine, Permit No. C-92-080. The revision pertains to a proposed temporary cessation of the
mine operations in response to the lack of coal markets for the mine. The temporary
cessation will delay the mining timetable set forth in the above referenced permit until coal
markets are identified for the mine. The temporary is proposed for an indefinite period of
time. The only changes proposed in the revision for the permit will be a minor change in the
water monitoring program. Other environmental compliance measures will be as
established in the approved permit.
The Carbon Junction Mine is located approbmately 2.5 miles east of Durango, Colorado .
There will be no change in the permit acreage. The 7.5 minute Durango East and Loma
Linda USGS Quadrangle maps showthe above described area. The surface is owned by
Oakridge Energy. Inc., a public company.
A copy of the Technical Revision application is available for public inspection at the La
Plata County Courthouse in Durango, Colorado. Written Comments may be submitted to the
Office of Division of Minerals and Geology, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver Colorado
80203. (telephone Number 303-B66-3567) Written comments and objections must be tiled
with the Division within ten (1 D) days of this publication. Published
