(d) Water quantities of each mine working should be calculated.
(e) The mine plan should be revised after consultation and approval of
MSHA.
(f) Include reclamation plans and bond estimates for the abandonment of
the monitoring wells and reclamation of their associated access
roads.
Subsidence
16. Page ?.05.57, paragraph three, states that the operator's surface
structures in Bear Creek and Hubbard Creek have been removed. In
actuality, there are several structures remaining at these locations,
including but not limited to: power lines and poles, chainlink fence,
substation superstructure, breaker boxes and transformers, concrete
foundations, and culverts. Please revise this paragraph accordingly.
17. The last paragraph on page 2.05-57 begins by stating that none of the
adjacent structures will be affected by subsidence. The remaining
section of this paragraph is dedicated to explanations of how subsidence
could affect these structures. Please clarify this apparent
contradiction.
18. Jim Pendleton (MLRD) is reviewing the subsidence section of Permit
Revision No. 2. His comments will be forwarded to SMC as soon as the
review is complete.
SSS/bjw
3705E
- 5-
