Gonima <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />r <br />Re: Builders Aggregate Company, Inc., Builders Aggregate Pit (Permit No. M-1981-112) (CHS <br />#48675) <br />Dear Ms. Gonima: <br />Thank you for your correspondence dated August 23, 2006 (received by our office on August 25) <br />concerning the project listed above. <br />A search of the Colorado Cultwal Resowce Inventory indicated that no surveys foc cultural resowces <br />have been conducted in the proposed permit area and no cultural resource sites are known to be located <br />within the proposed permit area. However, ow files contain incomplete information for this area, as <br />most of Colorado has not yet been inventoried for cultural resources. As a result, there is the possibility <br />that as yet unidentified cultwal resowces exist within the permit area. <br />Should human remains be discovered during mining activities, the requirements under State law CRS <br />24-80 part 13 apply and must be followed. <br />Please note that ow review of yow project is expedited when you indicate the extent of the proposed <br />permit azea on a legible portion of the appropriate and clearly identified 7.5 minute USGS topographic <br />map. <br />Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
