These changes are detailed below.
Al National King Coal, Inc. has acquired two leases to mine
coal (one State of Colorado lease and one private lease) and
would like to have them included in the permit area.
B) National King Coel, Inc. is planning to mine the lower seam
as well as the upper seam, which is currently being mined.
The addition of this lower seam to the mining and
reclamation plan is included within this application.
C) The previous Technical Revisions for the Hydrological Design
of Surface Drainage and Sediment Ponds have been
consolidated into one report which we feel is easier to
understand.
D) The previous Technical Revisions for the Mine Waste Pile
Design have been consolidated into one report which we feel
is easier to understand.
E) The general format of the permit has been revised to include
• indexes, appendices, page numbering, etc. which will make
the permit much more manageable in the future. We have
taken care to include only those items in the permit book
which are required by the regulations and to omit those
items which only serve to make it more difficult to
comprehend.
