Long <br />Divisiun Dveclor <br />Pursuant to Title 34, Article 35, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, the Division of Minerals and Geology hereby issues notice that on <br />April 25, 1994, a technical revision application for a permit to conduct coal <br />mining operations by Basin Resources, Inc., 14300 Highway 12, Weston, <br />Colorado 81091, was deemed complete for the purposes of filing. All reviews <br />and comment periods as provided in the Act and Regulations promulgated <br />thereunder initiate from this day of filing. <br />The applicant proposes to clarify reclamation plans at the Golden Eagle Mine. <br />The technical revision addresses vegetation performance standards. <br />The Golden Eagle Mine permit area is located approximately 20 miles west of <br />Trinidad, Colorado, in the following sections: <br />_ Sections 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 of Township 33 <br />South, Range 67 West; projected Sections 27, 28, 29, 30, <br />31, 32, 33 and 34 of Township 33 South, Range 67 West; <br />and projected Sections 3 and 4 of Township 34 South, <br />Range 67 West. <br />Projected sections are partially or fully projected by <br />Basin Resources due to the unsurveyed nature of the <br />Maxwell Land Grant. <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />maps of Vigil, Weston, Tercio and Little Pine Canyon. <br />Because the above referenced technical revision application might alter <br />previously approved permit conditions or mitigation measures, we are <br />requesting your agency's evaluation of the proposal as it relates to fish and <br />wildlife considerations, including potential impacts to threatened or <br />endangered species. <br />A copy of the technical revision application is enclosed. In order for us to <br />comply with regulatory time frames, we request that comments be submitted to <br />the Division of Minerals and Geology at the above address by 5:00 p.m. on <br />
