The Division generally agrees with the rationale presented in SCC's response. <br />However, SCC indicated that the description of backfilling and grading activities (Tab 20) has <br />been revised to reflect these considerations regarding the Valora Pit north highwall, steepening of <br />the topography and settlement/highwall exposure concerns. It does not appear that Tab 20 was <br />updated as indicated in the March 2004 response. Please update Tab 20 accordingly. <br />Comment 4. The Division agrees with the rationale presented for YPM-6 in the response. With <br />respect to YPM-7, the post mine topography has changed in the vicinity of YPM-7 and <br />consequently the channel profile and location has changed from what has been approved. The <br />Division requires asite-specific design for each post mine channel. Hydraulic considerations are <br />not transferable from one channel location to another. Channel designs are site-specific not <br />generic. Therefore, please provide a revised SEDCAD design for YPM-7 and provide updated <br />tables, figures and exhibits as necessary. <br />Comment 5.
