Mount <br />Reclamation Specialist <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division <br />215 Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br />~'_g° <br />B.. , <br />5~p q ~ 1951 <br />iJiined L~z11c1 <br />Reclamation Division <br />Re: Response to Pr,~liminary Adequacy Review <br />Permit Renewal= <br />~9~rmit No. C-8003 <br />Hen Gulch Mine <br />Dear Mr. Mount, <br />The attached information is submitted in response to the <br />Division's correspondence of July 11, 1991 which provided the <br />preliminary adequacy review for Permit Renewal 02 to Permit No. C- <br />80-003. <br />We have, with this information, addressed the following three <br />topics. <br />1) Rule 2.03.4 Identification of Interests information has <br />been updated and should now comply with the recent rule changes. <br />2) Three copies of a technical revision are attached which <br />provide for separate primary and secondary spillways for all ponds <br />except HG-8 and the rail loop loadout pond which currently conform <br />with Rule 4.05.6(3)(d) and (e). <br />As requested, two additional copies of Exhibit U are also <br />provided which support details regarding pond HG-8. <br />3) Finally, demonstrations that sediment ponds are not needed <br />for the two small area exemptions is included for the two topsoil <br />areas along the north side of the county road. <br />The third area noted by the Division is located south of the <br />county road and below the northern mine area containment ditch. <br />Historically, this area was associated with the old haulroad and <br />the sediment control ditch rather than that of a reclaimed area. <br />
