(Golder) is pleased to submit this summary of Phase Nc Construction Quality <br />Assurance (CQA) services performed for the Cresson Project during the period of April 12 through <br />Apri124, 2004. <br />• The weather during this reporting period was clear to cloudy. Approximate daytime low <br />temperatures ranged from 20° F to 36° F, and highs ranged from 36° F to 64° F. Weather <br />observations were made on thirteen days of this thirteen-day reporting period. <br />Construction Svnopsis <br />Ames Construction Ina (Ames) of Aurora, Colorado is the earthworks contractor for the Phase Nc <br />construction. Ames conducted Phase Nc construction activities on four days of this thirteen-day <br />reporting period (April 19 through Apri122, 2004). <br />Phase Nc <br />Ames resumed contouring and compaction of subgrade in prepazation for soil liner fill (SLF) placement <br />in the Phase Nc Ore Storage Area (OSA). <br />Ames re-established the temporary surface water diversion channel at the Phase Nb and Phase Nc tie- <br />in azea and began to cut and haul to fill from the west end of the channel progressing eastwazd. Ames <br />also removed the structural concrete headwall from the end of the temporary diversion channel prior to <br />Structural Fill placement and compaction in the azea. The 36-inch corrugated steel pipe (CSP) will be <br />removed to the outer limits of the Phase Nc Valley Leach Facility (VLF) footprint at a later date. <br />Ames continued production of bentonite-amended SLF at the screen and pug mill plant located above <br />• <br />
