Phase Nc Summary No. 6 Page 2 043-2170 <br />Ames continued excavation of the OSA geomembrane anchor trench in the western portion of Phase <br />IVc on Chickenhawk Hill, Saddle Fill, and Raven Hill, excavating and backfilling approximately 200 <br />linear feet of anchor trench in prepazation for geomembrane deployment activities. <br />Ames hauled, placed, and compacted Soil Liner Fill (SLF) material into the Phase IVc OSA in the <br />central portion of the VLF. SLF material was tested, conditioned, reworked, retested, and maintained <br />prior to SLF surface acceptance. <br />Ames continued production of bentonite-amended SLF at the screen and pug mill plant located above <br />the Ames materials yazd. Ames also continued production of Drain Cover Fill (DCF) material at the <br />screen plant located neaz the secondary crusher. <br />Poly-Flex continued deployment of 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane in the Phase <br />Nc OSA. Geomembrane was placed in the Phase IVc OSA on the south-facing slope of the Saddle Fill <br />azea and onto the southwest facing slope of Raven Hill. Poly-Flex deployed 80-mil single-sided <br />textured LLDPE geomembrane over an azea of approximately 195,028 squaze feet in the Phase IVc <br />OSA during this reporting period. Geomembrane panels C-237 through C-303 were deployed, seamed, <br />and tested by Poly-Flex. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam samples DFc-083 through DFc-102 and <br />DXc-OS through DXc-10 were mazked and removed. Destructive fusion and extrusion seam peel and <br />sheaz tests on 80-mil single-sided textured LLDPE geomembrane samples DFc-061 through DFc-75, <br />DFc-091, and DXc-OS through DXc-10 were tested during this reporting period and passed per project <br />specifications. <br />• Ames continued placement and grading of DCF material into the Phase IVc OSA, on the west area of <br />the VLF on Chickenhawk Hill. Ames placed DCF material onto approved geomembrane panels and <br />High Volume Solution Collection (HVSC) piping per the project plans. <br />A map of the area worked during this reporting period is provided in Attachment C. <br />Field Monitorine and Testing Activities <br />Golder observed construction activities associated with Phase IVc earthworks. All construction <br />materials and soil materials placed were verified as suitable, and construction methods were in <br />accordance with project specifications. <br />Golder observed excavation of SU in Phase IVc for trench dimensions, slope, and materials used. <br />Golder observed construction of the geogrid remediation for underground working UG-297 for <br />dimension, slope, and materials used in accordance with the project plans. <br />Golder observed anchor trench excavation and backfill in the Phase IVc OSA for proper location and <br />dimension (2' wide by 3' deep). Anchor trench excavation, backfill and compaction met or <br />exceeded the requirements of the specifications. <br />Golder observed placement, compaction, and moisture conditioning of SLF in the Phase IVc OSA <br />. for subgrade preparation, thickness, compaction, moisture content, and materials.
