Coulson Excavating Company, Inc. - Bonser Gravel Pit
Exhibit E -Reclamation Plan
The total area to be seeded is approximately 32 acres. The total area to be
fertilized is 32 acres. Seeding and fertilizing will be completed after the topsoil
and overburden is replaced, smoothed to conform to the existing topography,
and disked. Optimal periods of seeding are in the fall (after November 1st) or in
the spring from late March to April 30th. Mulching will not be completed as the
quality soils and availability of water should facilitate the rapid establishment of
perennial grasses.
Following revegetation, weed management strategies will be implemented to
facilitate and achieve native grassland. The strategies will include an aggressive
mowing program to prevent the growth and establishment of weeds, specifically,
the eight noxious weeds recognized by Larimer County: Canada thistle (Cirsium
arvense), Dalmation toadflax (Linaria da/matica), diffuse knapweed (Centaurea
diffusa), leafy spurge (Euphorbia esula), musk thistle (Carduus nutans), Russian
knapweed (Centaurea repens), spotted knapweed (Centaurea maculosa), and
Yellow toadflax (Linaria vulgaris) as mandated by Colorado State Law (35-
5.5CRS1990, 1996).
Alternative Reclamation Plan
There is no alternative reclamation plan.
