Deaguero <br />#2 4th Park West <br />Jacksonville, lllinois 62660 <br />Via Certified Mail 0026 5862 4834 <br />Dear Mr Deaguero: <br />This letter is to notify you. as an_adjacent landowner, that Basin Resources, Inc., 3800 County Road 63.9. <br />Trinidad, Colorado 81032, the operator of Golden Eagle ivtine Permit number C-81-013, is filing for <br />Phase II Bond release with the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and Geology. Permit C-81-013 <br />was issued by the Division an 7uly 26, 2000. <br />The Golden Eagle Mine is located in Sections 20. 2l, 23 & 29, T335, R67W. A total of 59 acres of <br />surface disturbance from muting is covered by a Coal Reclamation Bond in the amount of 5477,085. The <br />permittee is applying for and Division guidelines allow for the release of up to 85°/p of the total bond <br />amount in a Phase [I Bond release. <br />The Golden Eagle hGne ceased production on December 3 L 1995. Phase I bond release (removal of <br />swetures and final grading) was approved on ivfarch l3, f 998. [n accordance with the approved <br />reclamation plan and as required for Phase II bond release, a vegetation assessment of the reclamation <br />areas was completed in July of 2000 during the third growing season. <br />Any w{itten comments, objections or requests for a public hearing or informal conference regarding this <br />bond release application must be submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology. 1313 Sherman Street <br />Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203 within 30 days from the date of receipt of this notice. <br />Sincerely. <br />~~~ <br />Ronald G.
