Box 459, 1190 County Road 92, Florence, Colorado 8122G, has fled an application for revision of approved mining arhd reclamation plans for dhe Southfield Mine. Tfie approved Division of Minerals and Geology (DMG) petmit, Pemtit No. C-81-014, addresses existing underground coal mining and related surface operations arhd reclamation activities. The propwed revision, Technical Revision No. 28 (IR-28), addresses permit revisions developed for dhe drainage and sediment control plan for the loadout area. Areas to he effected by the proposed plan revision aze located uh Fremont County. The Southfield Mine azea is located approxvnately seven miles south of Florence, Colorado, on County Road 92. The mine azea is bounded on the south and west by dhe base of the Wet Mowhtauhs, and Newlin Creek bisects the mine azea from southwest to northeast. The Southfield loadout area is located approxvnately one mile west of Florence, Colorado, on Cowhty Road 11A arhd die Santa Fe Railroad spur line. The loadout azea is bounded on the north by Chandler Creel:, and on dhe south by Oak Creek. The Soudhfield Mine area is located on die following sections: Township T20S- Range RG9W Sections 19, 30, arhd 31 Township T20S Rang~W Sections 23, 24, 25, and 2G The Southfield loadout Area is located on the following Sections: TownshipTl9S RG9W Sections 17 and 18 These sections are covered by the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 muhute Rockvale (t`9uhe Area) arhd C7fhon City (loadout Area) quadrangles.
