Long <br /> Divis~an Director <br />Re: Technical Revision No. 79 - Mountain Coal Co. - C-80-007 <br />This memorandum outlines my comments pertaining to the TR-79 <br />adequacy response received from Mountain Coal Company on April 21, <br />1997 (dated April 18, 1997). <br />4. - 5. Responses accepted. <br />6. Response accepted. <br />7. Additional information is required to adequately respond to <br />this issue. MCC has been notified, and MCC will provide the <br />additional information this week. Specifically, MCC must <br />revise Exhibit 67 to itemize the surface areas and labels <br />associated with each pond from which evaporative loss will <br />occur. The Exhibit 67 must also be revised to reference the <br />Sylvester Gulch, and RPE projects. <br />8. - 9. Responses accepted. <br />16. Response accepted. <br />17. - 19. MCC has been notified that the 1993 and 1995 vegetation <br />monitoring reports referenced in the TR-79 response letter <br />must be provided to substantiate the proposal for a soil cover <br />variance for the RPE. These data were requested with our <br />adequacy letter of April 14, 1997, and the request was <br />reiterated in our meeting of two weeks ago. MCC has also <br />committed to providing the materials originally submitted to <br />justify the soil cover variance at the LRP. The 1993 and 1995 <br />data should be submitted prior to our approval of TR-79. <br />)~ <br />;; <br />i' <br />41. Response accepted. <br />
