The surface of the terrace in the area <br />to tie mined lies approximately 10 feet above the stream. The stream will <br />not be affected during operations. In general, the surface of the of the <br />perniit area is low, averaging less than one percent. Runoff from the <br />affected area is limited to periods of snowmelt and summer storms. Runoff <br />from the affected area occurs as overland flow but is of low velocity due <br />to the gentle surface slope. <br />Ground Water and Other Nearby Wells <br />Ground water is encountered at a depth of about 10 feet below the <br />ground surface, but varies some depending on specific location on site and <br />seasonal variations. <br />The records section of the Colorado Division of Water Resources was <br />contacted for information pertaining to other alluvial wells in Section 30 <br />located north of the river.
