08-20-1998 09~40RM FROM J. E. STOUER 8 RSSOCIRTES TO DMG P.01
III IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
i
Engineering Evaluation
Mining cannot be performed within 200-feet of s structure unless an engineering evaluation is
made that demonstrates that the structures will not be damaged by the proposed operation.
The Union Pacific Railroad Tracks and State Highway 6 & 24 are located within 200-feet of the
permit boundary. The proposed 24-foot wide access road is the only disturbance within 200-feet
of the railroad tracks and State Highway 6 & 24. Some of the Casey Concrete facilities including
the batch plant, office, truck scale, fuel tanks and associated facilities are within 200 feet of the
proposed 24-foot wide access road and within 200-feet of the actual pit area.
I, J. E. Stover, P.E., have a wide variety of experience in design and construction activities
including evaluation of the stability of cut and fill slopes which is applicable to gravel pit activities.
I have designed numerous access and haul roads and evaluated the stability of same.
Based upon my evaluation of the proposed operation, it is my professional opinion that the
proposed operation will not effect or damage tl~pllr~i~t,P•acific Railroad Tracks, State Highway 6
& 24 or the Casey Concrete facilities. ~~aP00 ~- ~ G/ f f~_
8/~~/9B
.,
vo : P.E.
.! :~
•0,,..,
• fr..'••......
- ~ ppst-It' brand lax transminal memo ~ • °r ~' ~ ~
.. _ I
Rev. 8/98 Page C-2
TOTRL P.01
