This technical revision requests approval to construct Sediment Pond
005, Haul Road G and other mining related facilities in the north pit expansion area. This
revision fulfills the requirements set forth in Permit Revision No. 1, Stipulation No. 17
(Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance for the Seneca II-W Mine, September 04,
1991).
History
The following is a brief history of events leading up to the resubmittal of the information.
PCC submitted PR No. 1 in November 1990. This PR requested the approval to conduct mining
associated disturbance, including facilities, in the north mining block. As a result of this
submittal, Bruce Stover (CMLRD) conducted a field reconnaissance of the proposed mining
area. Mr. Stover noticed several areas that exhibited either past or recent landslides. This
resulted in follow up investigations by James Pendleton (CMLRD) and the request by CMLRD
to conduct additional geological and geotechnical investigations (see Stipulation No. 17).
A number of meetings and conversations between CMLRD and PCC transpired, prior to and
during, the preparation of this information for TR No.16. Mr. Pendleton has been kept informed
and involved with the field investigations and embankment design.
Revision Contents
iii iiiiiiiiiiiii iii
999
1300 South Vale
Flagstatl, Arizona 86001
(602) 774-5253
March 16, 1992
An intregal part of [his revision are the two consultant reports discussing the landform stability
and foundation stability.
