DON L. GOSNEY
P O BOX 256
BAYFIELD CO 81122
February 13, 2003
Gosney & Sons, Inc.
P O Box 367
Bayfield, CO 81122
Dear Sirs:
RECEIVED
FEB 212003
Division of Minerals and Geoleg~
I am the landowner of the gravel pit known as Bayfield Pit No. 1, which you
operate under DMG Permit No. M-87-038.
The purpose of this letter is to advise you of my wishes in connection with your
reclamation of the pit. I currently plan to build a home in the vicinity of the
northwest shore of the pond located in the southwest portion of the permit area. I
want the ponds to be left looking as natural as possible, with shorelines
comprised of the native, rocky material typical of the western portion of the permit
area, which is in direct proximity to the Pine River. I understand that plant growth
will be sparse in the rocky, gravelly pond slopes. 1 also request that you leave
the access road, which runs between the ponds, in place so that I have access to
the proposed homesite.
I appreciate your consideration of my wishes in your reclamation process.
Very truly yours,
`~~i
Don L.
