I live across from the quarry. Glenn Southwick DBA Southwick Quarry Masonville Stone Company has repeatedly operated outside normal good business practices. He is quarrying, without approval, outside his approved 2.5 acres. He should not be rewarded with more acreage for breaking the law so far. He employs people to work in disregard of the laws, operating regularly outside normal business hours -operating in evenings, on weekends and on holidays. His overburden is very poorly managed, and appears to be dangerous. If it is endangering, it is to those of us who live here and visitors in Loveland, bike riders, etc. (Glenn Southwick does not live here). His equipment doesn't meet noise standards -two GMC Terex and a forklift. His equipment doesn't meet safety standards -his forklift doesn't have a rollover structure. He produces fugitive dust. He provides no apparent stormwater management, so mud accumulates on our roads and causes hazards to car, foot and bike traffic. His trucks run all night, causing danger to night wildlife. Expanding a delinquent quarry is contrary to all the effort put in by citizens to save these hills and wildlife habitat from the Bobcat Gulch fire this summer. The neighborhood has changed in the last ] 0 years. It is predominantly a residential neighborhood. I think this matters to Loveland. These ridges cradle this valley, and hold one of the last frontiers of Loveland's charm. Delinquent quarries and quarry expansion are hazardous to our neighborhood. Enough is e~eugtt rely, ~4a Kneen
