Morrison
1313 Sherman St., Room 215
Denver, CO. 80203
Dear Susan:
REFER TO
For Wildlije-
For People
I have reviewed the most recent data and maps regarding the
status of known threatened and endangered species near the Senica
II Mine. Species that may be near the facility are the Bald Eagle
and the Greater Sandhill Crane. The Peregrine Falcon may migrate
through the area. The eagles can be expected to winter along the
Yampa river and the mine is within the overall distribution of
the Crane. However we are not concerned that the permit renewal
will impact these species. There have been no indications that
the existing operation has affected threatened and endangered
species.
Please contact me if you need anything additional.
cerely,
•im Morris
Wildlife Biologist
DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES, Kenneth Salazar, Executive Director
WILDLIFE COMMISSION, William R.
